Nurtiora Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 11, 2026

Overview

Nurtiora is designed as a low-friction gratitude journaling app with a privacy-first local-storage approach.

In the current version, Nurtiora does not require account registration and does not provide cloud sync. Most core journal content stays on the user's device.

Information We Collect

  • Journal entries, saved phrases, streaks, achievements, app lock settings, and reminder preferences stored locally on your device.
  • Microphone input when you choose to use speech-to-text. Speech recognition is initiated only when you activate the feature.
  • Device identifiers and advertising-related signals that may be used by Google Mobile Ads to deliver and measure advertising.
  • App analytics and event data, such as app opens, entry creation, reminder settings, and feature usage, through Firebase Analytics if enabled in the app build.
  • Crash diagnostics and error logs through Firebase Crashlytics to help us detect and fix stability issues.
  • Notification settings and local timezone information used to schedule reminders on your device.
  • Biometric availability and local PIN/app lock settings used to protect on-device access. Biometric templates themselves are handled by the operating system and are not collected by Ascend Spark.

How We Use Information

  • Provide journaling, reminders, breathing, meditation, app lock, and other core app features.
  • Maintain app reliability, measure feature usage, and fix crashes or defects.
  • Support the free version of the app with advertising, where applicable.
  • Improve future product decisions based on aggregate usage patterns.

Sharing and Third-Party Services

  • We do not sell your journal content.
  • We may share limited data with service providers that support analytics, crash reporting, speech recognition, and advertising, including Google and Firebase services used by the app.
  • Journal content is primarily stored locally on your device in the current version, but data processed through optional features or third-party SDKs may be subject to those providers' terms and retention practices.

Retention

  • Local journal content remains on your device until you edit, delete, or remove the app.
  • Analytics, crash diagnostics, and advertising-related data may be retained by relevant service providers according to their own operational retention schedules.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can disable or deny microphone, notification, and biometric permissions through your device settings.
  • You can delete individual journal entries within the app.
  • Because there is no account-based cloud profile in the current version, account deletion requests do not apply. To remove locally stored data from a device, delete the app and its local data from that device.
  • If you contact us with a privacy request, we will review requests related to data received through support communications or our third-party providers where reasonably possible.

Children's Privacy

Nurtiora is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
